St Gervais

Thanks Ranchero_1979, as long as there are shuttles to the slopes we should be fine. I know that the hotel is next to the Les Houches rack railway so that might also be an option.

I was going to kind of jump into Shona's post and ask about the St Gervais railway.
We saw it at Les Houches last year, but it was never suggested that you can catch it an ski at St Gervais - is the opposite an alternative?

Thanks to everyone who has responded to my post. Have since found out that the ski company shuttle all of their guests to the slopes using their own mini bus. So I'm going to go ahead and book this, will post whether it was a great success or a massive failure!! Cheers Shona
