Dave, that was in the summer, this is now ;) The word on the street is that Georg has smelt the snow and feels he may well have another season in him after all :P ... watch this space!
As an aside, my wife was deeply "enamoured" with Georg when he was her instructor "some moments ago" ;) consequently our youngest son is named George !!

Dave That definately is the passing of an era. I fondly remembered being bellowed at by Georg To follow me! right behind his skis on a very icy sheet at Auffach. He taught the group I was in in 91. We had an ex evening with G on the last night. No R in the Haf blame it on the Cornish were always dropping r R's. Have just booked my skis and boots, panic over.

Oh cornishmaid, that wasn't really ice. At best it was a bit marbly.
Always been the case, mate.

I am pleased if that turns out to be the case. Geog is such a nice guy.
I think if you delve not too deeply, there may be several hundred "enamourings" with George, including I recall a New Zealand lady that seasoned in Niederau.
What talent!
And he could ski. 8)

FAO jan stenmark,
jan, please, please can you post a pic of the image you ent to karen on 11/11/08, BUT WITHOUT THE ARROWS, as it's fab, and i can use it as my screensaver?
thank you!
currently i use a snowy pic of the village from the auhof site and the kids at school think it's a pretend place, or one cut and pasted from some geography textbook!
thanks, see you for new year! L.

about georg,
i was in his class in about 1990/91, and i fell off the old chairlift at the top of the markbachjoch. georg was waiting for me and when he saw me fall like bambi out of the chair instead of gracefully gliding away from the sodding chair, he bellowed: ''just GET UP, WILL YOU, and follow me ... now, here we go ....''
i thought i'd cracked my cheekbone but he just didn't care .... always gives me a cuddle when he sees me now though!
Absolutely LOVE tony N nd tony klingler. L.
