Snow Sox - Alternative to Snow Chains.

I suppose the Golf is like all cars, there's three models
1) needs alloys
2) came with alloys
3) built for granny to do the shopping
it's only funny when chav teens get (3) and stick alloys on it ) like Top Gear the other week trying to make the car go faster and slowing it down with a spoiler.
 am I being slow and we're onto spoof answers now :?:
I've not seen a pair of ladder chains for 15 years and I can't see that working with anything else. I am getting an insight into what's going at the side of the road when it snows though :)
Fortunately, the Leon FR is a performance car, much like the Golf tdi, and came with the snowchain-less 18" wheels it has. And it doesnt have a spoiler either, it has a boot-lid!!!
For the "non-professional" this is actually a really useful tip.
Although I'm sure everyone would welcome your helpful, positive, inclusive, knowledgeable advice ...

you've got to be joking? jack the wheels up to put chains on! that's got to be a wind-up.

Lay the chains out and reverse onto the centre.

Oh yes, theres plenty of those around here, in their Saxos and Corsas with fat tyres, massive spoilers and what looks like a tin can on their exhaust!!!!ise wrote:Tony_H wrote:Youre not suggesting his Golf is chavved up are you, Ise?
