interesting thoughts snapzzz. We stayed at Les Arcs 1950 2 years ago and whilst we certainly enjoyed the holiday, we're not intending to return anytime soon. Arcs 1950 felt like an artificial construct. Pleasant looking architecture but a bit 'disneyfied' and a bit like the towns they build for wild west films. After about 7pm the village was as flat as a pancake.
slippy slidey snow......me likey!

I'm due to stay at the Charmettoger apts in a fortnight. Dare I ask how the accommodation was, Oldboarder?!

Just got back from staying in 1800 and had a fantastic week - loads to ski and spent a fair bit of time off piste which was at times magical.. I am not one to really judge the resort as i am more first and last lift and as long as the accom and food are good then that does it for me. I think that if you are looking for a charming resort then austria will offer this more than france.

Hi greengoblin, the apts were ok, they were clean and tidy and warm. We upgraded to a bigger apt for extra 30euros. Ours was on 2 levels, only prob was low ceiling upstairs and i touched ceiling with my head. Im 5ft 9. Also small bathroom which ihad to squeeze in. It had 2 seperate toilets. Overall it was pretty good and a 2 min walk to transarc bubble lift. You will enjoy les arcs, its a fab place.

Back to the video, which is why we are all here.

Looks great - were you cruising or are you just a great skier? How many weeks have you done now?

At 0:46 it looks like a load of lemmings about to jump. What was the queue for? Was is a bit daunting?

Do you ski alone when little snapzzz is in ski school?

1. I mainly just cruise about.
2. 5 weeks (only first was ski school)
3. That vid makes it look far less steep than it is. I think those people were just waiting for courage.
4. I get up early and get first lift. Mrs and little one lie in and come out about 11:30 - 12:00. I explore alone in the AM.
