Yes, I have, which is what prompted the question.

I suppose it's because one is looking down the slope, making the horizon parallel with the bottom frame edge (roughly). If one were to stand looking across the slope, then one might get a better indication of gradient (as long as one was standing vertically and not perpendicular to the slope!!)
Bant a ni!

Great video thanks - Snappzzz minor looked good too. I agree with the slope never looking as steep on camera. My one really steep red (on video) that I wanted my kids to see me come down didn't look steep at all, so they were suitably uninpressed and even I started to wonder why I had been nervous.
Did you enyoy your holiday Snapzz ?- you haven't said much about it.(nor Bedrock Barney either come to that)
Hope the man flu didn't put too much of a dampner on it. You mentioned in an earlier post that you were not sure about the resort but would think about why. Did you make a final judgement at the end of the holiday?
Good luck with researching the next one - I love planning holidays.

What grade were those runs?

The ones with little Snapzzz are blue.
The majority of the rest were red.
The one after the cable car is black/red.

Nice video, also i have seen this run in austria on video, and it really doe's look like a blue! Pictures and videos dont seem to pick up on steepness :/

Lizzie, i really enjoyed my holiday despite the man flu but it did put a dampener on it a little.
As for Les Arcs, well i won't be going back. Our accomodation was first rate, the best i have ever stayed in by a VERY long way however the resort itself simply had no magic. It had no soul.
Everywhere else i have been has given me a sense of being somewhere or part of something magical, Les Arcs felt bland.

1800, where we stayed, seemed the worse. Vallandry looked nice, i wish we had stayed there as the skiing above there was the nicest.
The Arc 2000 bowl (with 1950) is quite bleak and i am so thankful i didn't book there.

I was happy on the snow but there were also no standout runs, if you asked me know which was my fav i would struggle to recall.

I sound really miserable don't i? I don't mean to be, i did enjoy it but i think that was purely because i was skiing and not working. Les Arcs resort did nothing to encourage this.
