Thinking of going to beaver creek as a base to ski in Vail as it's too expensive to stay there. Can anyone recommend somewhere to stay in beaver creek. There is quite a lot of choice so I'd like to hear from someone who has been there.
cheers

I have skied there, but same as you, from a base from elsewhere. (Breckenridge). I chose Breck because I calculated this would give the maximum amount of skiing in a day. As I'm sure you know, the lift pass covers several resorts.
Hence we had a number of days at Vail, plus Beaver Creek, Arapahoe Basin, and Keystone. I agree that Vail was great, although one of the A-Basin runs remains a lifelong favourite.
I am the opposite way round ~ I have a permanent offer of free accommodation in Vail and Aspen!
Good luck with the hunt!

I live in the Denver area and ski Vail & Beaver Creek during the ski season. Mostly I commute. It takes about 2 hours from Denver. When I stay overnight at Comfort Inn Vail Valley, 0285 Market Street, Eagle, CO, US, 81631 +1 (970) 328-7878. In fact I am doing so this week. This is a Choice Hotel owned and operated by a lovely Polish couple. It is clean and quiet.
