I've done several holidays by coach, but not for a while now.

I'd rather drive myself than share an uncomfortable bus with lots of people producing unpleasant smells or getting drunk on the ferry and being sick, no legroom, and the risk of a driver falling asleep (topical).

To be honest, for what you can pay for a weekend on a coach trip, you can get a week away with a package if you look around.

I'm sure it will be fine for you though, and the main thing is that you'll be skiing whilst the vast majority of us on here won't be. Enjoy.

thanks Tony , would have done the package thing only most are for 7 days and I can only get a couple of days off work. I was thinking of flying easy and hiring a car but by the time easy or rya have ripped you off for the extras the cost seemed to soar. A coach was my last choice trust me but fingers crossed i can just snore the whole way down , plus like you say at least there will be snow , I was going to Scotland and look at the weather there now!

Faced with the limitations, you're probably taking as good an option as any.

Hope its a good one Dave.

Not done a coach for donkeys years!
But son has on school trips.

I think the key is to look after yourself.

Get on board early and get a decent seat - near the front, "revellers" do seem to have a school boy mentality of congregating at the back.

Earphones and music available, pillow, comfy clothes, headlamp torch (if you have one). Drinks and some snacks and take every opportunity to go to the loo!!!!

Have a great ski.

9 hours is a very short coach trip! My poor teenage daughter had to suffer a 26 hour coach trip on her uni ski holiday, and she survived! I'm sure you and your daughter will be fine as long as you don't get coach sick, and presumably you don't or you wouldn't have booked it.

I hope you have a great time. Ski holidays are a wonderful way of connecting with your kids :D

When we drive it's 13 hours door to door and that's not a problem, so you should be OK.

Just think, some transfers take 4+ hours, especially if you have to wait for another flight to arrive before your coach can leave!!
I can see my house from here...
