Took me 7 hours to get home on 21st Dec

Will do. It seems to have stopped right now, so I will post again if it starts up. My brother is currently reroofing his house  (don't ask it is a really long story) down near Maidstone, so I will see if he gets any as well.

Roughly where are you working?

Hartlip. It is on the A2 near Rainham.
It is glorious blue skies here but very cold.
Clouds are almost stationary.

I don't suppose anyone is planning on coming this way, but for your information it's just started snowing quite heavily here. They shut my daughter's school early and I've just been to pick her up from the bus.

We had snow on New Year's Day here, but that's all, before this. But at least I did an emergency trip to Tesco for food this morning, in case we got snowed in. It happened about 29 years ago, and we were snowed in for 3 weeks with snow 20 foot deep in our lane and the other lanes around us.

Ally,

I drove through Wales over Xmas on my way to Ireland.
Roads were terrible with snow, through Bangor.

Stewart,
If you'd come our way, via Fishguard to Rosslare, you'd have been fine, because there wasn't any snow here :D

I hope everyone makes it to their ski resorts. The forecast does look pretty bad.

Attention. Fred Drift/Spam alert.
Ally, please start your own threads if you want to waffle on about the weather in Wales.
Stewart posted weather comments as Snowbandit is off to ADH this week and it is relevant.

Anyway, back on thread.....

Stewart, didnt realise your lessons were in the afternoon?
I may get up and do the Sarenne with Snowbandit and Scapula on the afternoon of the 10th as it is their last day, but it will depend on our morning and what the weather is like, so no guarantees.
What are you going to do the first morning, as we are aiming to head over to Signal de l'Homme for some cruisy reds....?

Snowbandit - suggest you hit the Sarenne if its a sunny day before we arrive just in case....
