Personally I try to avoid using the so called budget airlines, in my experience if you are prepared to book way in advance say six months, you can bag a deal with just about all of the major airline companys. To date I have booked return flights from Manchester to Munich in Febuary for £98 Inc taxes & ski carriage with Luftansa.
As for Easy Jet, had to get home in a hurry from Geneva about six years ago & EJ charged 399 Swiss francs one way, short notice, empty flight. Had no choice but to pay up & put up. Finn |

It's been eleven years or so since we last visited Soldeu, stayed in the Sporthotel complex which we found to be excellent. Only negative was at the end of the holiday & the transfer to Toulouse from Soldeu as the Transfer bus we were travelling in had no windscreen. Brrrrrrrrrr!
Well worth a visit IMO. Finn |

Has everyones summer fitness campaigns gone to plan? Keeping fit throughout the summer for the winter sports enthusiast is not out of vanity for that perfect beach body but out of a desire to ski that little bit harder & better than the previous year & of course to look good in your thermals! :!:
Has anyone any tales of woe or are you still thinking about getting around to starting your winter 10/11 ski fit programme. :-) Finn |

Plenty of Alpine & Pyrenean stages in this years Tour de France, stage 8 on the 10/07 Station des Rouses to Morzine-Avoriaz & stage 9 after the rest day to Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne passing through Albertville will be familar territory to a lot of skiers. In the Pyrenees stages 14, 15, 16 & 17 will be awesome viewing especially when the peleton go over the Tourmalet. Not quite skiing I know but great viewing all the same.
