Anyone skied Altenmark & Zauchensee, saw some televised footage of the region on British eurosport & looks excellent, a real gem!

Have gathered a bit of info from the link attatched, but you can't beat first hand knowledge.

Mild for another week will mean misery for anyone hitting the lower altitude Austrian & German slopes next week. Normally we ski for two weeks in mid Jan but due to the increasing pressure not to take the kids out of school we have put our trip back to the 11th Feb. Fingers crossed we will get plenty of snow.
One point to make, can't remember which year it was but the last time the conditions were rubish in January the big tour operators organised excursions to the Stubia & Hintertux glaciers.

This is the page I was viewing, the way i read it was it's now chair lifts & not drag lifts as I remember. Sorry if I have caused any confusion folks.

After viewing the links Ian provided it looks like the links over to La Rossiere are now chair lifts. Chalet Alpin looks the excellent.
Definetly going to visit La Thuile on the near future.

Visited La Thuile about 15 years ago, the trip was booked through Interski & we stayed in the Plannibel appartments. At that time accomodation was pretty limited to just the Plannibel which we found to be pretty good. The skiing area is linked to La Rossiere in France but is drag lifts all the way to get there. Some nice reds in La Rossiere & some nice tree lined skiing in La Thuile with a testing black run back to the village. Excellent opportunities for offpiste & ski touring in the region. We did most of the après around the Plannibel & to be fair was fairly limited. Very freindly relaxed atmosphere about the place.

For the price, this stuff does seem to be very good - it might not have a spider on it or say Salomon on the label but for base layers, its great.

If anyone asks tell them your wearing Aldidas, that will confuse them. :D
