Just back from Flachau last week, 45 min transfer from Salzburg would recommend.

At the top end of the Budget I know, but would definately recommend Courchevel 1850. My youngest, then 6 sounds just like your youngest didn't want to go to ski school a few tears before she headed off but by the end of the 2 hour lesson all forgotten and and did the rest of the week no issues.
Eldest at 9yrs was off and running in her group and this only her second week skiing and was skiing reds, even did the bottom end of a Black by the end of the week, sickenly quite natural and now not bothered about going at all!! Wife the same as youngest really, nervous about learning but after the fisrt couple of days no issues and by the end of the week we could all ski together locally as there are many easy blues and greens to practice on. Used Magic Ski School for the youngest & my wife they are French but had English speaking instructors and most of the groups were made up of English people. Eldest Daughter used the local BASS ski school or there is New Generation ski school both British Run. The downsides are it is expensive to get a drink or something to eat piste side and it is very busy at ski school meet times. |

Not sure where you live, but Air Berlin go from Stansted to Salzburg at reasonable prices, have seen £90 return in March!

Came back on Monday after 4 days skiing the area, staying in Flachau. Really enjoyed it, great snow conditions some testing runs as it was mainly unpisted due to the large amounts of snow falling and being made. Free Ski Buses run from Flachau to the other areas. Aplendorf, Flachauwinkl and Alpenmarkt all worth the bus ride and didn't take that long, Alpenmarkt probably the longest at about 15 mins and a mornings skiing. There are 2 worldcup runs in the area, the Herman Maier piste used for the womens slalom in Flachau and the last run of the day, quite tesing as it is Ice underneath and the downhill at Flachauwinkl. Easy transfer from Salzburg, about 45/50 mins |

You'll get what you need at Physioroom.com, had loads of stuff from there in the past when I played football regularly.
Good info helping you make the right choice of product for your injury, should get what you need for about £40 not "£100's". |

Stayed in Westendorf last year and skied both sides on the same pass, think we just had to ask for the all area pass, which was a few Euros extra and so had access to both areas.
Definately worth the extra money for the pass and I think it worked out to be 35Euros per day or there abouts. |

Try The Hotel Post direct in Westendorf used them early last Feb, clean tidy right in the cntre of Westendorf, just a walk across the road to the first lift and ski schools. A short tranverse takes yo to the main lifts to access the rest of the Ski Welt.
Used Stfan's taxi's in Westendorf for the transfer from Munich airport, again reseanable price and one of the all round cheaper trips I have been on recently,as thecost in the mountains cheaper than France and Italy. Flew with Lufthansa but not around Xmas/New Year time so only £100. |

Interestingly in Austria a couple of weeks ago, the ski hire shop had an Argos style system where we had to put down height weight, skiing experience/level on a form and hand it to the technician.
This was then processed and most of us ended up with shorter ski's than usual, mine came out the usual 160's and they calculated the correct DIN setting etc. at the same time. You could obviously ask for longer ski's but this was their recommendation, I guess you ski on what you are comfortable with at the end of the day, which is 160's for me though probably should be 165 but mentally I find it an issue moving up. |
