Post Grad University students who can only "get on" with other University Educated people. Brilliant. Can`t wait to meet them in the workplace!! Happy Skiing!!!

We said the same about both La Ros and La Thuile.....we have hours of video footage, and quite often not another person in sight for ages!!! Quietest slopes I`ve ever seen ( suppose it was just after Christmas though and the kids had vacated the area!!!)

Just keeping an eye on the snow, but hoping to take advantage of some of the fantastic deals that are popping up for the 20th or 27th March, but keep changing my mind where I want to go! We always seem to end up in France so have done a fair few resorts there, whilst we`ve only done Cervinia, Obergurgl and Abtenau outside of French territory. Last trip was to La Rosiere which was perfect for the hubby to change from boarding to skiing and part of me is being drawn to stay in La Thuile on the other side of this mountain! Anyway, enough ramblings......recommendations gratefully received! Snow vision glasses are firmly on :)

Hey...sorry for dealy, been having too much fun and apres ski!!!

Rained nearly all day yesterday and cloud came in so visibility was shocking. However blue sky day today and apart from a few icy patches, and bare patches on a couple of reds, the snow is still really good considering the diversity of the conditions the last few weeks. It is expected to stay warm all week....it was 10 degrees at 4.30 this afternoon so shows how warm it is. But had a great ride over to Italy today and snow was great.

Ski lifts from Kandahar are downhill for about 150 metres, but a little uphill on way back prob about 5 - 7 mins MAXIMUM! Probably less, so no worries for you.

The button is as everyone says just very very long and if you are not a confident "buttoner" then there are times the bar in front loosens and drops and some people found that tough. I think it`s absolutely fine and lovely and scenic and peaceful!!!!

Bars: In Les Eucherts itself you have Moo Bar and a bar at the Bowling Alley, both open till around 2.00. Live music in the Bowling Alley usually at around 10.30 pm. Moo Bar is also a club. Moo Bar is quite trendy whereas The Bowling Alley bar is more a casual beer!! Then you have the forest walk into La Rosiere where I recommend Bar Fusion for evening drink, and Le Petit Danois for apres ski live music at 4.30 pm, Both are in the village and you can`t miss them as there is only one road! If you ski into La Rosiere, we also had a pit stop at the Petits St Bernard pub which is right at bottom of slopes. You can get aski bus back to Les Eucherts at half past and on the hour from outside the Tourist Office or the bus station at the bottom of the slopes. Just check that it is going to Les Eucharts not down the mountain!!!

Can`t think of anything else......oh, we were told if you want pizza, stay away from Le Grange in Les Eucherts....it`s grotty! Walk to Les Rosiere, and go to McKinleys which is the last building in La Rosiere on the right as you go towards the slopes!

Have a fantastic time.....just back after 8 hours on the slopes. It is so so quiet.....and was an amazing day today :)
Would certainly make me think twice if that`s the case......

It`s still snowing here.....big big flakes now! Should be great conditions the next few days. Temperatures have dropped, so lets hope it continues. We are staying about 200 metres away from the Kandahar, so you`re in Les Eucherts part of La Rosiere like us. We are with Ski Fusion at Chalet Robert ( much smaller than Kandahar). Our chef from our chalet knows the owner of the complex and says standards as far as he knows are good, with spa areas etc and as it`s relatively new, should be good accommodation as well. We walk past it to walk the forest path down into La Rosiere centre, and the hot tub was in full flow with apres skiiers enjoying a nice beer!

It is also really really quiet and I think the next couple of weeks will be too......not had any queues what so ever. As a consequence apres ski is also quiet but hey, who cares sometimes!! Will keep you up to date,as I know how grateful I am to get genuine current info!!! Any questions ask me, as I can either answer them or get answers before you arrive!!

I am here at the moment! It has been snowing all day today but not putting down loads. The snow is very thin down at resort so needs this snow today, but is absolutely fine higher up. Freeze thaw conditions have played with the quality a bit, and there are a lot of icy parts, but having skiied all types of conditions, there is absolutely nothing to worry about as it stands at the moment. However, the weather is due to get warm again for tomorrow, Thurs and Fri and really, the resort could do without it. But, we are having a great time and trust me, I have seen it a hell of a lot worse, and is not affecting our skiing at all! If you`re comfortable on reds, then head over to la Thuile......snow is better ( in my opinion) over there. We come back Saturday, so I`ll let you know any major changes! Jo
Apparently they barely stood a chance so for some to survive is amazing. As you can imagine, being in the same vicinity, the resort is awash with chat about it. Terribly sad. A lot more snow coming down now, so am expecting a barrage of avalanche guns at some point.
