Glenshee is particularly bad from the South, I have waited for well over 6 hours in the car for the snow gates to open after a particularly heavy storm!

It is just a really old style of skiing (if I have your description correct). Pretty outdated now and it is generally accepted there are far more efficient (and arguably better looking) ways to ski.

Made it home at 6 o'clock tonight. Edinburgh was outstanding but I am now £100, a phone and a Huge Boss scarf worse off. Worth it ;)

As well as the local shops you mentioned the major UK chains specifically but chose not to mention any European groups. So to answer your question, you brought it up, I was 'jus sayin'. |

Well fitted boots = enjoyment in all your future holidays + a big improvement in your skiing. They aren't even comparable to rental boots.
Holiday instead of boots = a few ski days. I know what I would do. |
