Best way to make 2 skiing trips...?
Started by User in Ski Chatter, 7 Replies
Was at Nevis the day after boxing day (not quite as good as the week before but still pretty ace) and going to Glenshee with a bunch of friends that have never skied before so should be interesting

Forecast is for plenty snow so you should make the most and get up there! Glencoe is only an hour and a half from Glasgow.

Email them direct and see what they have going, we didn't really eat lunch because the breakfast, dinner and snow were so good. Steven (Steven and Iona run it) is from Helensburgh too, tell them Ross (of SAS fame) sent you. I wouldn't think twice about staying in the bunks!

Some of my best skiing ever last year was in Sainte Foy. Stayed at the Whiteroom Chalet (www.whiteroomchalet.com) and did the whole week from Edinburgh for £600 including all food and drink. Flew Jet2. Worth looking at Inghams deals as well, they have some obscenely cheap offers floating about.

Is your suitcase not big enough for blades to go in diagonally?

That is a problem with an extremely easy fix. Get a lesson ;)

Looks to me like you are getting caught on your uphill ski, especially evident when you nearly hit the deck in front of the camera. That would have made for a good clip ;)

The 'style' of skiing will definitely continue to evolve (maybe to adopt the growing trend of fatter skis) so it will probably be considered 'old school' then.
