Hello everybody and Happy New Year!
Just a quick question...
Could someone tell me how the skiing technique that the skier has both the legs really close to each other and allows him to go downhill really fast is called?
I know I am probably very vague. the body posture does resemble that of mogul skiing but they do it without the bumps...
Many Thanks

Hello yan_pap, welcome to the forum.
Do you mean that they go downhill in a straight line, or making short quick turns?

It is just a really old style of skiing (if I have your description correct). Pretty outdated now and it is generally accepted there are far more efficient (and arguably better looking) ways to ski.

Also called Mincing by British Army ski instructors, due to skiers looking really camp if they also have their hands wide but elbows in! :D
