:) I had to take a few days off here to re-adjust after skiing, normal service should now be resumed. |

OK so now I've done my skiing for the year, I'm starting to think about what's next. As in spring/summer/autumn. Obviously planning next year's skiing is on the list (and almost in the bag and booked).
Apart from those that still have skiing to do, what have you all got to look forward to now? I have my first camping trip of the year in 20 sleeps, going to Corfe Castle for Easter, also a beer festival at the end of April in the New Forest then a week in Devon in June. Yay! :) |

I had the most amazing half a roast chicken and chips in Soll last week, I sat outside whilst it was snowing and filled my boots. Delish.

Following on from Allys 'what have you learnt from this forum' thread, I realised that this winter I have picked up some very useful tips.
Usually I just go skiing and don't think about what I'm doing, perhaps its talking to you lot and realising I have the attention span of a goldfish, but this season I actually concentrated on my skiing, stopped occasionally to take in the views rather than belting down the mountain as fast as I could and improved my technique. In particular I learnt how to ski through slush and heavy snow (thanks to daily tips from the hotelier who also happened to be a ski intructor trainer), I really thought about what I was doing and actually improved my ability to ski in different types of snow. Anyone care to add? |
