We've found a couple of good sites in Devon and are going back to Gwithian Farm in Cornwall again for our main two weeks in august. Only 18 sleeps to Corfe Castle camping!

How about J2camp

Yay! Alternatively I can just stay on here and start a thread about camping. If I'm allowed.

It worked :D

I would add that it wasn't busy and not many people behind us!

That was our method during my seasonaire youth. Think we might have been doing something naughty though .

I also forgot my main two week holiday in Cornwall in August. Lots of glamping to look forward to. Oh and might also squeeze a festival in too. No Glastonbury this year though - booo!
As I can't be bothered to walk to the computer I'm on my phone but wanted to reply to Tonys massive post. Number 1 in particular - I also improved my arm position this year, another tip from our hotelier/ski instructor trainer. Arms help massively in poor snow conditions, particularly if you hold them away from your body (for balance), and if you are going fast then keep them closer to your body.

Nonsense. Many a time I have heard the "beep beep" of a pistey basher whilst skiing. Its a bit like driving and seeing a grit lorry, you either get out of the way quick or past it quick.
Personally, if its all chopped up, its like fresh morning tracks skiing behind the basher.

I've seen this in Austria a lot. Also in Serre Che and ADH so its not something the French don't do. I'm pretty sure it used to happen more than it does now. Money talks.

Yup, agree with TH, seen many out during the day, mostly towards the end of the ski day when they're coming up the mountain to start their shift. Same time every day when we were heading home we'd have to get out of their way. And follow their tracks to the bottom of course :)

Nothing much has changed while you were away :)

Thanks! Don't mind if I do.
