Hi Smudger,
Did you check if you can take off the inside shoe ? It looks like sleepers and they much easier to dry. You should be able to open them wildy. Don't forget to spray with special deodorant for shoes, if not next year moisture smell will be unbearable. |

Now you can feel relax and enjoy your next holidays, because with all the snow falling since 3 days and the one on his way for the next week, you'll be fine ! Even if your trip is in a month, the snow should still be here and you'll be hooked ! Enjoy ! |

Hi New skier !
I tried couple of weeks ago a Bole goggles with pink lenses and I loved it. The morning was sunny and as the days went on it got cloudy and overcast and the goggles did the job for both conditions. Pavelski, tell me if i'm wrong, but I think if you want buy just one pair of lenses, pink seems to be a good compromise. If not, you have to have a least 2 different lenses dark and yellow or clear. It's the best way to enjoy your holidays in all weather conditions. Enjoy ! |

Snow is here for really and it's lovely.
So lucky you if you are on holidays in the next 2 weeks. We can't predict weather forecast further than that for the moment, so please enjoy it and stop worrying, it's good on the resorts. You'll have a great time. I speak for Tignes and Les Arcs, but i'm sure all french alps are whitening and probably in Austria and Italy too.... waiting for info. Please, enjoy, breathe.... and relax ! You are on holiday.... |

Yes, i live in the alps, yes i'm a good skier, and yet i'm not able to show off with a good ski fall... i have to do it the embarrassing way!
I'm off this week and with my hubby we thought "best sun, good snow, let's go out every day... you mean a week in a row ?!" Oh my god never had time to do that before, i was very excited. 1st day in Tignes, brilliant... 2nd day in Les arcs (I know we are spoiled), very nice until.... we followed some people on a "off piste" track, i mean really not on the piste, but not a real off piste exciting track. Well, not looked after, bad and mean little track with grass and gravel, we passed the wet grass without problem and a bit further a big black thing which i thought was grass again (in the shade, with my sun glasses, bla bla bla....)but which obsiously was gravel....... so my skis stayed on top of the stone and my body flew patheticly further in the superman position. Thanks god my husband didn't see me if not he would be still laughing ! Still i did injured myself, the shoulder. I can move my foreharm very well so go back skiing tomorrow, but it does hurt when i move my harm, so very silly position to shake hands... so more skiing and less meeting people ! Well to make me feel a bit better i'd love share your embarrassing ski fall stories if you've got some ! Come on tell me ..... |

Hi Drix,
North Face jacket is a very good choice, i've got a big selection home (Mountain guide, Antartica, Nepsy (???) and 1 or 2 more..., sorry, not sure for the spelling!!), and they're brilliant. Forget Paris to buy it, they've got no idea what is it. When you turn up in Tignes, most of the shop supply that brand, if not if you stop in Bourg Saint Maurice, there is a Intersport shop where you can find some too. But don't worry, when you arrive in Tignes, you'll find so much choice of warm cloths, you'll be lost. For your budget you'll find very good ones in any brand (North Face, Burton...). Enjoy shopping ! |
