Trespass ski-wear

depends on where you're going and what the weather is like. If you're going towards the end of season when it should be warmer then Trespass will be fine, if however you're going high in the middle of winter and get caught in the middle of a snow storm I would suggest there are a number of other makes that would do a much better job. Having said all that who am I to knock one company over another. Choose well though as there's nothing worse than feeling cold on the side of the hill

Is it worth the punt or should I stay at home and go hiking in Scotland?

Cheers, Floydie

bit of a no-brainer that one Floydie :P Sack off Scotland and head off to Austria, it looks good at the moment although things do and can change very quickly. I'd still err on the side of caution and opt for a resort within striking distance of a glacier. Have a good trip

I'm no expert but they appear to have the correct UV rating, as well as protection against UVA and UVB rays. I would recommend you try and find a pair of 'polarised' sunglasses, as these will give far better protection and vision whilst on the slopes.

Only approx 10 weeks to go!

Good Lad!! we fly out Saturday 19th, the day before you, also counting the days already and driving the wife CRAZY :!:

Never know, may bump into Tony_H and Ellistine at Innsbruck Airport..... :D

The last time we drove to Hintertux as far as I can remeber we didn't have any problems until we hit Lanersbach, Mayrhofen is so low down and the Austrians could certainly teach us English a trick or two about keeping the roads clear I really don't envisage you needing the chains, but in the event you do just remember to keep your speed to about 40mph, any more is bad news with chains
