Time for a Scooby, Sir? 8)

Proper 4WD, reasonable mpg, lots of toys

Bit of haggling should get it into your budget, add winter tyres and you'll have an unstoppable Alp-mobile... although maybe skip the camping for Val Thorens...

sorry to say but that's not a scooby...at least not a proper one, far too sanitised :(

I am looking to buy a car in January and am having trouble deciding what to get. I thought "who better to ask, than my J2 friends who know everything about everything...."

Vauxhall insignia - relatively cheap to buy, masses of space in them, good size tank / range.

Currently driving a Passat Estate and would thoroughly recommend but you want a hatchback, in which case I'd also recommend the Insignia, the boot is mahoosive, the ride is pretty good, you don't need the SRi version although it's nice enough, I'd recommend the 18 inch low profile tyres, had them fitted on mine and the road holding was very good indeed. Reasonable enough in the snow albeit I had the diesel which does make a difference in the snow (heavier block over the drive axle)

Good luck with your search!

Beats my puny 102kph. And swallows my friend's 240 kph, (then a British record!)

Thanks Dave

How do you get that speed on a board when you are sitting down most of the time? ;)

Everyone: The point he was making about the 278.1mph was referring to the fact that the GPS lost its signal so it reported a super fast time from point A to B when the signal was lost. You all were joking werent you? ;)

Oh...I didn't realise, maybe it lost the GPS signal because he was going so fast?
Mayrhofen on the 21st December
Meribel 4th April

Just need to find a short break for February half term, preferably to a resort starting with an 'M' ;)

Thanks Ally

have always found these apps to be a bit hit and miss as others have said, will be trying my garmin watch out this season, trying to top 278.1 mph sounds like a good plan if I can just find a slope quiet enough :)
Skiing near Munich in late December

Garmisch, Seefeld, Igls would seem to be your best bet, I haven't skied any of them so can't comment, good luck :)
All in one ski suit, is it acceptable?

No...just no...unless it's for a bet :)
and for a really good finish I can recommend goose or duck fat, it's very worth it!
