Typical! The first sign of a change in the weather for a few weeks that may bring some much needed snow and the freezing level goes and jumps up above 2000m!!! Rain is coming!!!
So my question to all fonts of skiing knowledge out there is this........ myself the wife and 2 friends are off to Kirchdorf next saturday (blimey a week today!!) and we are all beginning to wonder how easy / difficult will it be to convert our skis using the rollers from each of suitcases?????? Positive thoughts most welcome as I am now beginning to Von Trapp myself :? |

Hi - I would recommend Kirchdorf In Tirol, Austria, if only for the ski school which is excellent! The Village is very typically Austrian and although quite low the ski pass gets you to St Johann/Kitzbuhel/Waidring plus many more. All the instructors at Kirchdorf speak excellent English, we went in January with some friends who had never skiied before and they loved it! So much so that we all booked up again for next January!! Wherever you decide to go, it has to have a decent ski school or you won't enjoy it as much. Have fun!!
