Tony_H wrote:All very interesting reading, thanks for everyones input. I have given up on looking for a boot with 100 plus flex, as I was previously advised, having taking into account the comments on here. Having a boot which is comfortable is more important.

Tony - my boots are bog standard Salomon and I can honestly say that at my standard I'm quite sure it doesn't make a difference so you'd notice, however my boots are like slippers and THAT is what makes the difference to me. My advise - stick to comfortable

We are just about to start an extension on our house so space is at a premium – we have a full bathroom suite, tiles and grout in the conservatory and a shower, two radiators, lights, paint and bathroom taps in the living room (along with my riding gear and my husband’s cycling kit) so they don’t really look too out of place…

I'd imagine northamptonshire is a tad nicer?!

lovely place and ideally located from a skiing perspective as you don't have to queue all day to get up the mountain; unlike Mayrhofen. The Finken Nest is as mad as a box of frogs, it does snow inside and the pole dancers on a Wednesday night i think it was were superb  The only downside is it is very popular with the Germans and the Dutch which could cause problems with the ski school. My wife ended up in a class as the only english speaker and the ski instructor was getting on a bit and obviously didn't have the patience to repeat every instruction in English :!: Needless to say she learnt very little and after 2 days she came and skied with us. Having said all that i probably would venture back again as the skiing was superb and you can jump on the bus and ride 10 minutes up the road to Lanersbach and ski Eggalm. We did this and skied from Eggalm over to Rastkogel back over to the Penken and right over to Horberg and then back again :!:
Resort for a smooth skiing experience

Leo N. wrote:OK, so I have checked out some of these options and they are start at about £1200 per person regardless of the resort, including transfers, 6 day ski pass, breakfast and dinner. Does this sound about right, or are the Norwegian price standards coming into play? We can probably get a return to London for about £150 each if there are cheaper options there I guess.

Hi Leo, which dates are you looking to travel :?: Like Tony says, you can get it cheaper than that but it depends on the time of year
