Crystal Ski......Problem Solved.
Started by User in Ski Chatter, 40 Replies
I have booked with Crystal the last few years and each trip has had its issues, so much so that it has caused me to complain upon return. The problem is that from time to time they have good offers which are hard to pass up, its just the extremely poor customer service in and out of resort that bothers me.

Two years ago we booked a 4 man apartment in Tignes through them rated 3 star. I would have give it -3 star following the numerous health and safety issues. I actually photographed every issue we have with the accommodation and sent a complaint highlighting sockets hanging from walls etc. All I got was a letter consisting of about 5 lines of text apologising and £50 worth of vouchers to get off a holiday with them. They are worse then useless and have little in the way of customer service as they know thousands of others will book with them each season.

I really feel for you. Rant over.
Does this appeal to anyone?

I have done this in Whistle but it was called fresh tracks. We got the lift up at 7am and had breakfast in the restaurant then we went probably 75% of the way up the mountain and you could work your way down at leisure. Not all lifts were open for obvious reasons so your limited as to where you can go. But it was fantastic especially if you drop on a powder day. It's a nice touch to add to your holiday but not worth doing every day, as mentioned just get up and on the first lift.
What's next?

It is was ok but surprised that it won some academy awards. It wasn't that good.

Almost got my "work shorts" out of the wardrobe this morning but decided against it as it is March and still skiing season. Wouldn't feel right.

I watched it at the weekend. Was a decent film but not as good as I was expecting, I think it was missing a Rocky type training montage

Not at Old Stratford

It is the smaller teams at Old what ever it is called that have always suffered over the years ..... it just happens to be my team this time.
Not having sky I have not seen the decision so can only imagine the biased twelve man's decision

Don't watch it you will only get mad. One word, blatant.

Well thanks to Man U (Not just united, there are many other teams who utilise the United team name) my bet came in last night so every cloud, but as a Leeds fan I like to see them loose.

I would recommend Alpe D'Huez. This has an excellent low level around the resort for beginners and will help build confidence, plus they have a decent ski school from what I have been told. I actually came back from a week there a few weeks ago and the holiday itself was cheap enough, accommodation was good and there were some quality bars and a nightclub (We were a group of 8 lads 23-28).

Returned from ADH last week. Desperate need for fresh snow, by lunch time it was very slushy. Still had a great holiday, the resort is excellent and caters for all abilities.
