I have an iphone and have the following apps (All free) Fizz Snow, Ski & Snow, Snow Report and REI.

The REI app has had a serious makeover this month as it was rubbish last season so fingers crossed it works this time round.

There are lots of paid apps for a few ££ but I'm reluctant to pay (However little) for something that does not work
Morning guy's and girls,

I (like most of you I'm sure) have a number of different applications on my phone for snow forecasting but none of them seem to be that good. All of the ones I currently have still show Tignes as closed when we all know that is not the case.

Was just wondering if any one could recommend a good one, I don't mind paying if it is accurate.

And have you checked out that beautiful woodwork at bar 8)

I do agree about the size of the glasses, they are quite big, would be difficult to clasp your hand round to get a good hold

Yeh i think you would defiantly have to take your gloves off to ensure you had a firm grip. We wouldn't want to drop anything now would we ?

Felicaro,

I am the opposite to the above posts. I have snowboarded in Whistler but not Banff. Whistler was probably one of the best resorts I have ever been to, it has everything you need ranging from the cheap food outlets to the 5* plus restaurants. The town its self is like something from a postcard and has been designed in a very efficient manner.

I however I stayed in 'staff housing' further up the mountain as I had a friend working a season at the time, so needless to say my accommodation was not 5* (far from it).

The skiing is fantastic, well maintained and vast. They have a selection of parks (If that is your thing) and the ski school is fantastic. When you get fresh snow the powder days are some of the best I have ever had and the back country was the same. All in all I would recommend Whistler as a resort and for the skiing as it caters for all budgets and skill levels. From the above posts it sounds like to have a choice between two very similar resorts.
