We all need something to look forward to Steve, and being in the mountains is a great thing to look forward to! :)

I'm planning my trips. The good news is that because I drive, all I need is the channel to be crossable and the borders to be open, then can go anywhere that is open.

From a quick look, that does appear to be way too cold to rain

Perhaps it's a sign of global warming, and it will now rain at lower temps  :?
Snowcare Insurance
Started by User in Ski Chatter
Just looking for any input on this tbh, but I have had friends break various things over the past couple of seasons in France (and were covered) and was wondering if anyone has had experience of the Italian Snowcare Insurance, which appears to be the equivalent of the French Carre Neige.

I appreciate the costs of removing people from the mountains in Italy is different to that of France, but has anyone had to use this service and is it worth the couple of euros a day charge?

Thanks in advance.

I have just read the following elsewhere.

"The lift company have confirmed the runs at the top of Fraiteve, that were closed last season due to the fatal accident, will remain closed next season. The case is still in litigation.

The way down from Fraiteve will be via run 25 & Colo, both black."

Can anyone confirm this?

Andalo was where I did my first skiing on snow on a school trip :D , back in the early 70's.

I bet it is a totally different place now, I must try and get back there for a day next time I am in the area and see if there is anything left that I can recall. I had my first proper pizza there too.
