Ski hire in Val Thorens
Started by User in France, 3 Replies
Hi all,

Im off to Val thorens in jan and this yr i will be renting skis. After looking at the main hire shops web pages i cannot see anywhere advertising the particular models they have on offer.

My question is do any of you guys know if its possible to hire Scott skis in Val Thorens and if so can you remember which shop? Ideally looking for the Neo.

Thanks

Espace Killy or 3V

I ski'd both 3v and espace killy last year and in my opinion 3v was better. Thats not to say EK isnt good. it is, IMHO i thought 3v had a much better mix of skiing. I have booked and will be returning to 3v in January..

So after much deliberation i have finally gone and bought myself a new pair of boots for the coming season.

I went to my local Ellis brigham store in Leeds and can say the service was excellent. I tried quiet a few pairs on before deciding on a pair of Salomon Impact CS 8. The boots are great, feel very comfy and both the liners and the shell were heated up and then moulded to my foot shape. Along with my custom foot beds im hoping to enjoy many hours of comfortable skiing....

Now all we need is the snow. :D

crispyapplepie wrote:Hi Tony_H it would appear your in the same category as me, i also am shopping for a new set of skis and have decided to purchase pair of Scott Crusades. Yes you budget wont stretch to buying you a new pair but there are some good deals on the 2010 mdel online which you can pick up for around £250/£400. I have done a lot of research over the last few months and it doesnt look like there are many skis out there that quite as much of a punch as these.

Hope this helps.

Tone you are completely right, after reading that review i wouldn't touch them either. But the model i was reffering to was the later 2010 model with the upgraded decals...Diamond pattern.

I was going off this review http://www.onthesnow.co.uk/gear/ski_reviews/2011/a/127/ as im after this years ski.
