Hi All,

I have booked a cheap deal to goto the 3 valleys staying in BLB on the 26th march. Im wanting to know is it possible to ski back to the resort? I have looked at the map and it looks like there is a run thats goes almost all the way however im wondering if there will be enough snow at the end of march.

Clearly it depends on snow fall etc but i was wondering has anyone stayed in this resort this late in the season and if so what were the conditions like lower down. ie lower than meribel?

Both airports in the south, id say you dont have much to worry about. The conditions are far worse the further north you go. I live near lds bfd airport and if you have never travelled from here before let me tell you they do very well to keep flights running even with snow. If in doubt like Tony says travel the night before and stay over, small price to pay to get to the airport on time and more importantly stress free...

to be honest IMHO there isnt much difference between some of the blue runs and the reds in this area. I would reccomend the Jerusalem run which you could do each evening on your way back to your stay. Over on the la masse side there are also some good reds and blues all about the same steepness. Like the jerusalem there wide and easy going. Note in a morning these runs do get pretty crowded as people go here for the sun so if you want to ski these when quieter id suggest an afternoon when the sun has moved round. Ill be there the week after you, 29th jan how long you staying for?

Scapula that sounds brilliant. You will have a brilliant time i am sure. Ive never done a season but have ski that area alot and your gonna love it... enjoy your time and keep us updated..

Hi guys,

Before heading off away with my new skis ive been wondering whether or not i should have them waxed and edged. I might add the skis are brand new and have never been used.

what are peoples thoughts, will they be ok or is it worth having them done?

Also can anyone reccommend a good wax and edging tool so i can do them myself in future.

Cereal bars are ideal. The would enjoy eating them, there slow releasing energy would get them through the day and there easy and light to carry...
