I have worn a helmet when they've been included free with the skis, but my kids always wear one, i bought them one each yrs ago.
Someone said ski within yr ability. I am not so much scared about my kids hurting themselves while skiing; it is the idiots who bomb past them without giving them sufficient room and the idiots who CAN't ski or board, ridiculously out of their depth on runs, where they lose control and go into them that worries me. I make them wear a helmet on their bicycles, so do when skiing . I know i should wear omne also really. Must keep an eye out for a good offer in aldi end of season! |

I've been down chair lifts in rauris. The alternative was a very icy red/black I didnt fancy. The kids'd ski down and we'd get the chair!
But the skiddoos can definitely be used |

What an interesting thread!
Firstly I sound like many of the others on here. Bad knees, happy on blues, more cautious on reds, terrified on blacks, but LOVE being on the piste and in the sun and lov e the snow. Secondly I thought for a sec I was in the wrong forum.... something men keep in their pants throbbing and talk about men being able to rise in the morning!!! *Looks shocked* |

Just got a great late deal in Bardonecchia with neilson, got a late deal the last 2 yrs with them, 2 yrs ago was 4 days before, last yr 10 days, this yr 15 days. (Saved £60 late booking charge there!) Balkan do got late deals. Crytals late deals never seem to be very good. You can try skitracer too. Onkly thing about late deals is you take a risk of not getting one. At least if you miss out early on you have more time to get one. That late, that is not the case! Good luck!

yes was just going to say the above. Also, you can do what we do and take a packed lunch to eat al fresco! Far cheaper and you're always with yr skis then!

If it was me, I would ask another skier to contact the people with the skiddoos, they could bring you down on the back of one. Bad luck that tho. Surely someone picked em up by mistake? I mean how do you know they'd be right for you, and where would you put em, when presumably most people already have skis. Mind, some people'll nick anything. Buggers!
