This yr when i was in VT end of jan, we encountered quite alot. On one of the red runs off the glacier "col" this run was solid ice top to bottom. And im not talking white slippy icey snow. it was transparent and blue looking...

Sorry to go off piste but totally disagree... there are plenty of places selling kit at good affordable prices these days. I went to the ski show at the NEC last yr and couldnt believe how cheap some of the kit was. Also Ellis brigham last yr were selling kit at the back end of their sale for next to nothing. North face pants for £50. discounted by £70. OK granted you cant always get your size but if your willing to look around and spend a bit of time researching then good deals on good kit can be found. |

Bright colours are the way fwd... IMO. I was sick of seeing all the dull colours, black and grey, too boring. |

Good thread tony, i too am looking for places to go next yr which is why i started the resort thread... Pls excuse my ignorance though which country are these places, they sound like austrian resorts however i could be wrong. Also whats the brochure you talk about? Sorry i cant offer advice but im looking fwd to reading others replies.... thanks |

Ally when i checked this morning at the Val Thoren cams it was snowing. thats was about 8.30am. again no idea how much though. |
