Bit of thinking ahead here, but I'm drawing up a shortlist of places to go next season.
Top of the list is Val Gardena, of which I have read some great reviews on here from people who have been to Selva and Arabba.
However I am also looking at these as alternatives, and would welcome any views from people who have visited them recently:

Bad Gastein

Lauterbrunnen (Wengen/Murren would do)

Baqueira-Beret

Many thanks

It gets a lot of browsing, but I was looking for inspiration to be honest.
They are particularly well priced for chalet holidays, and Bad Gastein has been on my radar for a while, along with Wengen/Grindelwald, so Lauterbrunnen seems to be the best priced option for that region.
I also think Baqueira might be a decent complete alternative, without resorting to having to go to Andorra.

Anyway, anyone.....?

Hi guys

I am also looking for ideas for next season - where can I get my hands on this brochure you are talking about.

I would like to try italy as we have had a week in France this year and 2 weeks in Austria

Family of 5 - think cheaper catered chalet

all ideas welcomed!!

About 12 years ago we went skiing to a place in the Spanish Pyrenees called Panticosa.

It was an interesting experience to say the least, and quirky and novel as it was, we wouldn't go back
What I would say (although it's probably one of the 1st things you'd do) if you're thinking of going skiing in that area is check your transfer time as we flew to Barcelona and it took bl**dy hours.

AND...if anyone thinks the French are rude, you haven't come across the Spanish lift operators.
It's probably just their way, but they made absolutely no effort whatsoever.

Haven't been to any of the resorts you mention, but we are great fans of Ski Miquel and are off to Monetier with them in a couple of weeks time. :D
