Season out...?

I worked for a UK company, we had Brits and Swedes (not sure why), they usually only ask for a language if you are going to be a rep/manager.

You would probably be better off working for a company as they would give you the package, it's unlikely you would get a season pass out of a bar job, I'm not saying it wouldn't happen, but at least it's guaranteed with a UK company.

Plenty of bar jobs through english companies though, I used to look in the back of the magazines around September time, although sure it's all available on the net these days.

Good luck and have fun!

I worked in various resorts for 6 winters and had the best time of my life. Do it!

If you are fluent in German you would be better off working in Austria or (German speaking)Switzerland and you wouldn't have a problem getting a job.

Have you got anything in mind as to what work you want to do? I started out as a waitress and was running a chalet by the end of the 6 years, I don't speak a word of German, some French but I got by wherever I was and I did improve over the years!

I have many stories to tell, but I might get banned from the website

But it only ever happens when I have flown to Innsbruck - never had an issue with any other airport in 20 years.

After my last 2 trips I am NEVER flying into Innsbruck again.

Last year we had a nightmare journey both ways, outbound the pilot wouldn't land because it was too windy and we ended up in an Italian airport with a 6 hour transfer, inbound it was foggy and we sat at the airport for 5 hours waiting for our plane which had been circling above the clouds, ran out of fuel, went to Munich to refuel, came back to Innsbruck and landed - hurray! When we did get on the plane, someone had a fit and the medics were called, he was obviously unfit to fly so they had to find his luggage. We finally got back to Gatwick at 5pm.

Long day.
Doubt you'll end up in a hovel with Inghams. We just booked at last minute to Claviere for £270 each.

Lots of bargains!

I wouldn't worry about using drags - just learn how to use them from the start along with your boarding then you can go anywhere on the mountain without picking and chosing because you can't / don't want to use drags.

If you are having lessons you might not have a choice anyway.
