I am a Teacher of ICT so get to keep up with the forum at work! Just got back from a wonderful week in St Martin de Belleville in the 3V it is fantastic - much better than the place I went at New Year  My family have now nicknamed me Jacqui of the Mountains because I am so obsessed :?: I too have a boat!! MacGregor 26X berthed on Lake Windermere which is how I get my kicks in the long summer

You can get a taxi to Hopfgarten which will get you into the Ski Welt area (including Soll) about 15 - 20 euros i believe. We had a car which was great for exploring ski welt & Kitzbuhel but tbh Niederau was a good base and a good place to go out and eat and drink at night. With a car or a good taxi driver you will not need to take a good book.....

I did Steak au Poivre, Gratin Dauphinois and broccoli served with Lindemans Chardonnay (not a red person really). Have just removed my new boots and got my son to adjust my bindings and I have to report - so far so good on the comfort side - even did some prescribed ski exercises from son whilst wearing them - they have been on for about 5 hours so can't wait now to try them out next week in the 3V

What on earth is wrong with Aunt Bessies Yorkshire puds

10 minutes to go before High Altitude...
Do you procrastinate?

All the time!!! Came on this morning and caught up with all the latest posts after putting some washing on. Then looked around the Internet for info about Ski Boots, then went to buy said ski boots which I had properly fitted, an analysis of my feet on some relective perspex thing which led to customisable foot beds. These I am assured will alleviate the problems I have had in the past with my feet. (For those wondering I got Ladies Edge + 10's)

Now husband is back and calling me a freak for being on here again and asking where his tea is? Guess I better stop procrastinating!!

Have you tried the St Martin de Belleville/Les Menuires tourist office? just google it. They have availability in Les Menuires and possibly the much more attractive St Martin for the 14th. It takes about 8 1/2 hours from Calais BUT if you can set off in the night and get there about Lunch, I would - the queues into the Tarentaise Valley can be horrendous. Also try the Pierre et Vacances website for what they have available. We stayed in La Lauze in Plagne 1800 which was ok. I would avoid Les Coches though as it is always cold and icy down there.

Good Luck :D

Ryanair Flights from Glasgow Prestwick to Grenobel 14th Feb - 21 Feb FREE!! Ok add on your taxes, luggage and booking fee it comes to just over a hundred but still not bad for Half Term. We are on it and our friends driving so they will take our skis!!
