montgenevre advice

I'm off to Claviere on Sunday and heard that the mountain restaurants are much better than the ones in the Montgenevre area, particularly one called the Montanina in Sagnalonga. I'll be there!

New dynamic packaging facility for ski website

Ski France has re-launched its website with a new dynamic packaging facility. The company claims it is the first time skiers have been able to create a completely tailor-made ski trip online, on one website.

As an example of the site?s flexibility, a weekend package of two nights? bed and breakfast at the Hotel Mottaret in Mottaret, using Easyjet flights out of Gatwick on 20 March, together with private transfers costs £534.50 per person (twin share).

?But if you don?t want private transfers, just take them out of the ?basket? and the cost is immediately re-calculated at £205 per person ? making it easy to compare like for like packages as well as ensure you only book the services you really want,? says the company?s Phillip Morris-Simpson.

Ski France features 21 resorts in the French Alps and a range of accommodation from two-star self-catering apartments to fully-catered ?Prestige? chalets and hotels for short breaks.

Accommodation-only prices lead-in at £30 per person for a week?s self-catering starting at the Residence Le Grand Panorama in St Gervais, for a one-bedroom apartment sleeping up to six.

The company also offers a full range of in-resort services from lift passes and equipment hire to ski school, as well as extras such as activities, child care and food packs. Online reservations: www.skifrance.co.uk or call 0845 862 1121.

This sounds great - will give it a go.

Thanks for other advice too :P

3 more sleeps now - starting to get a bit twitchy.
Hi Mr W - can you tell me a bit more about your avoidance of using TOs for your skiing holidays? What do you actually do and where do you find the info?

Am curious as to how much of a saving can be made, thinking of driving next winter for a 10 dayer.

Any advice welcome!
