Tony I assume you have now actually been on this holiday, but I'd like to add my pennys worth. Our trip to Claviere was with Rocket Ski and they were brilliant. Couldn't have asked for better service and have certainly never recieved the same from any of the bigger TO's.
I'm being slightly biased here as I used to work for Equity some years ago, although I didn't realise at the time of booking my holiday that Rocket Ski were part of the same company. Anyway, highly recommend them in the future, they do some particularly good last minute deals and you will get top quality service. |

No-one in my family had ever skiied before me. When I was 17 I decided I wanted to go travelling and got as far as the Lake District. My mum suggested (to get the 'bug' out of my system) that I do a ski season, I first put on a pair of skis at the age of 18 in Tignes and spent my first season in Chamonix. And my second season was also in Chamonix. Many years later I did another 4 seasons. Finally got the bug out of my system 10 years ago and have been enjoying my annual ski trips ever since. One week is just never long enough  |

I spent 2 weeks in Livigno last year and had a nightmare journey too and from Innsbruck. Fine if you actually land there and don't get diverted and as long as the tunnel is open then it's about 2 hours, we ended up having a 6 hour journey there and back after being diverted on the way there and the tunnel was shut on the way back (at night). We met people in resort that spent about the same time driving there from the UK, they also saved a small fortune in petrol (£8 to fill up in resort on the way back) and filled the car with duty free booze. The one thing I noticed when we were there, and I'm sure other people can clarify if this is normal, it was really really windy every single day. At the beginning of our first week the highter lifts were shut for a few days. I do like Livigno, I would go back but it's not my favourite resort. |

This story is so sad. My cousin is married to Liam and Natashas niece so I feel for them too, she has lost am amazing aunty.
I think this will certaily highlight the helmet issue and they could even become compulsory in the near future. Sad day. |

I learnt to ski when I was 18 and then changed to boarding for 12 years when I was about 25, my husband claims to have made me 'see the light' and got me back on skis. The truth is he was always too slow for me and I was sat at the bottom of the lift waiting for him, so as wife duties called I went back to skiing.
And I love it. Whenever I have a day on a board I always get stroppy with my bindings and having to keep scooting on the flat bits. Skiing is the way forward the older you get I have decided. |
