Passport renewal
Started by User in Ski Chatter, 28 Replies
A friend of mine works for a company bidding for the work involved in giving the passports a radical change, they are to become biometric, (probably next year) and will then cost a stagering £150+ to renew.

If anyone needs to renew a passport, do it this year. Saying that it will probably cost twice that come the time you have to change it anyway.
Tignes Vs Claviere

Hmm, tricky question. I was in Claviere a few weeks ago and went to Tignes about 4 years ago.

If I had to chose between the two it would be Tignes purely for the skiing, however, if you are looking to save money I would go to Claviere, the lift pass alone is much cheaper at £110 (ish) which includes a day on the Italian milky way and a day in Montgenevre, there's enough skiing to keep most occupied and the village is a lot quieter and cheaper than Tignes.

Tignes is a concrete jungle and can be very bleak, but the mountains are amazing and you could spend weeks there and not get bored. Tres expensive in resort, another bonus is that you can get the ski train there which means 8 days skiing.

Can't comment on the ski school or kids facilities on either though.

Also try to get one that makes you look like an imperial storm trooper.

Blame it on the high temperature

Are you wearing that to cover the fact you have chicken pox?

I'm a stepmother so I don't count for anything to do with mothers day - I'm just a glorified babysitter. Saying that, the kids don't really bother with their own mother.

Nelly I am sure you are more than that to them x

Chicken pox is rife at the moment, my friends 2 year old has it and they have had to keep him away from everyone for 5 days (doctors orders) whilst he is contageous.

Hope you get well soon Rose xx
