i seem to recall from your other thread that there was a budget to consider, this will dictate to an extent where you go and keep you slightly lower, however, as said above, even the lower resorts in Austria will be fine in February.
Hi gemski

have skied St Johann in 2007 when the winter was very poor and as Tony mentioned the lower resorts suffered, having said that we skied to the bottom of the gondola every day as they were making snow all the while. As a beginner resort it is ideal, the nightlife is fantastic but not Ibiza on snow! The area pass includes Kitzbuhel which despite being low always does okay, Fieberbrunn is also on the pass which is a little higher if things get really poor. There is also the steinplatte at Waidring which is a 30min bus ride away so although you might have to get a bus you will alwasy be able to ski. Whatever you decide hope you have fun
sud-tyrol please

Skiing vs Snowboard

The biggest difference between the speed at which people pick up basic skills on boards, or skis is attitude. Generally people who learn to board are more adventurous. As one of the main barriers to learning any sport is fear, a willingness to take risk will lead to faster learning.

Trencher

so what you're saying is that were both reckless and fearless with attitude :D
