I'm actually speechless. Tony, that was hilarious!

Andy, also love your stories.
Anyone booked for next season yet?

102 more sleeps! Ooo that's much better than last time I counted :D
I think the important things is, and this is what I plan to do, is not diet necessarily but change eating habits. I will be cutting down portion sizes, stop snacking on naughty things and have a little treat or two at the weekend.

And get my bike out :D
I'm feeling a bit rotund at the moment so am going for a sensible eating plan (pizza and beer last night was my last extravagence) and getting on my bike to get fit for skiing.

Agree with TH. I was in Claviere last year, it's a small quiet resort and there are only chair lifts to get you up the mountain, this opens up onto lots of skiing, although Sestriere is a bit of a trek, Montgenevre is more accessible and has plenty of chairs to move you around.

When I want to Sauze I didn't venture any further than that resort, found there to be more than enough to keep me amused for a week.

Welcome to J2ski BTW :D

Perhaps go for Mayrhofen 3000 then?

As I said to Skidaddle in a PM, you don't expect to have to query something like this with ski schools, you do just assume that all the instructors are qualified.

I don't know how practical it is to ask to see proof if you went with SMT but I know I would. Or just go elsewhere.
Jobs

Hi Max, welcome to our little forum.

I worked in several resorts over a number of years but always got a job before I went with a tour operator. The trouble with this for you and your mate is that you are likely to be split up (unless you apply as a couple which you might not want to do, but its worth a try!). I think the Natives job fair sounds perfect for what you want to do, have you got a particular resort in mind?

Other than that, it's a risk but you could always just turn up in resort of your choice and start looking, but this is a BIG risk as you could obviously end up with nothing. And don't leave it too late or all the good jobs will go, in fact, all the jobs will go.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Isn't that a tad dangerous? I'd drown if I drank that much and went swimming.

I do believe that Tino puts in quite a few hours in training for this element of his sport!

Not sure if he can swim though )

......good point Bandit, I should clarify: Swim = Getting wet in a pool, for the love of goodness, how does one manage breaststroke or crawl with a Mojito???
