Let's get this season started!

We had the pleasure of getting the apartment on the opposite corner to Banana Bar a few years ago, it was a no brainer that we fell in love with the place, especially as Dicks smelt of stale vomit and bleach and was nearly twice as expensive

WHAT?!

No snow is one thing, but no Bananas? Disaster!

  Noooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:( Really upset to hear that news, I have spent many a happy evening in the Banana Bar. One of my ski buddies used to upset the barmaids by enquiring if they were pregnant  Used to be great fun watching him get slapped.

I do hope it gets rebuilt in a similar way.
New Livigno webcam

As I mentioned earlier in this thread, the main issue stopping any expansion or changed runs, seems to be the nature protection in place.

From what was being said at the Ski Show, they are very willing to improve things in Livigno. They know they have to do more to attract people as their prices have now risen beyond ridiculously cheap. But, and possibly correctly, they are being stopped as it may impact on the wildlife.

I loved the comment from the lady I was talking to on the stand. "We can hunt the wildlife, we can shoot the wildlife, we can kill and eat the wildlife. But we cannot wake them up with a new piste!"

3V Cheap Lunch!
Started by User in France, 26 Replies
As has pretty much already been suggested, I think the best value lunch would be to hit the Supermarche in the morning and grab some fresh baguettes, fromage et jambon, plus something to drink and make your own.

Can easily be carried in a rucksack and then if the weather is nice you can picnic in the sun at the top of the mountain.

Please remember to take all rubbish away with you after :!:
Good sunglasses for skiing

This is the only pic I can find of me wearing my Revos. I tend to not get into pictures, so this rare self portrait on a lift is it folks.

Revo glasses, purchased in 1997 at Gatwick Airport. I really cannot recall if they were £120 or £220  but have been the best sunglasses I have ever had.
