OK, I'll kick this one off with a couple of recommendations for a cheap lunch in the 3V...for those of us with tight budgets!
Please feel free to add your faves, or suggestions that won't break the bank....these are all in Les Menuires...

If you come off the Montagnettes chair in Les Menuires, ski back towards La Croisette for about a hundred metres, and there's what looks like a garden shed, with a handful of sun loungers outside. Under 10 Euros for a panini, fries and a coke. They even do kebabs!

Reberty 1850, Les Menuires, at the Ferme de Reberty. Right on the piste, huge decked area. Plat du jour for 12 Euro, hearty and wholesome, good quality and service. Good sized dishes off the menu from 10 Euros. Good atmosphere, gets busy at the end of the day. Incidentally there's the Igloo pizza restaurant next door to this, which is also excellent for a budget evening meal.

Bruyeres: In the croisette area, to the right of the intersport shop, there's an alleyway at the side of the ski pass office with a pizza/kebab takeaway. Massive pizzas from 8 Euro, Burgers, fries etc.

Excellent idea!
My suggestion is Le Rastro in Meribel Mottaret.
In the hidden bit of the resort underneath the Plattieres bubble.

Excellent restaurant, very well priced for the area.

These sound like a couple of great places, I'm going to Courchevel on the 16th and have heard some ludicrous prices to eat and drink at some places. I was planning on filling up on breakfast (already paid for) to save money lol. So suggestions for places to eat would be very welcome.

1850 is horrendously expensive, but we found that we could get a couple of rounds of decent sandwiches plus a drink from the Spar just inside the shopping centre for less than 10 euros last December and if it is sunny there is a seat just outside to sit and eat them!
La Tania has more reasonable prices though as does Les Menuires and Reberty.

Is that 16th December?
Where are you staying in Courchevel and will you be looking for a bite to eat on the hill or in resort at lunch time?

As has pretty much already been suggested, I think the best value lunch would be to hit the Supermarche in the morning and grab some fresh baguettes, fromage et jambon, plus something to drink and make your own.

Can easily be carried in a rucksack and then if the weather is nice you can picnic in the sun at the top of the mountain.

Please remember to take all rubbish away with you after :!:

Agree 100%, fantastic restaurant. We always head there at least once during a week in 3V.

At the other end of 3V in Courchevel 1850, Ku De Ta is very reasonable and excellent quality. Courchevel can be expensive, there are restaurants that cater for the super rich, but equally there are restaurants that cater for Jo Average too.
