That's good advice for someone who may be able to take a holiday at the drop of a hat. If the holiday turns out then to be rubbish and a waste of money, one can go again soon, to compensate.
For those that would find having further time off work so soon after the holiday, and/or finding the finance for it difficult, it may be somewhat lacking in sympathy.

Heat treatment brings out any possible muscle bruising, cold reduces the swelling. Contrast bathing is what is recommend for many football injurues - knees, hamstrings, etc. It would be best to see an osteopath or physio TODAY though, dont waste your time at the doctors. If its not badly damaged, you might be able to go for it. If its something more serious, dont risk it, cancel the holiday and get your money back.caron-a wrote:I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I use ice after exertion and heat later when relaxing which is what I've been told and works very well for me. Doing it wrong can cause harm.
Don't think about cancelling just yet, be positive until it's not possible any more
Best of luck

Sorry, but that was not advice but an opinion based on what I would do, I would not cancel as there are other people in the equation to consider, eg family members !!!!

Unless the pain is so bad that you can't ski you might as well go for it - resting won't help your back.
