God, those dogs are SO beautiful.
Ellistine, like you, i can't really see my high-maintenance Cavalier King Charles spaniel doing that! (Note I use Caps when describing him but lower case for everything and everyone else!). He's coming with me for walkies in the Wilder Kaiser when i can get a pet passport sorted out. L.

So, when can we expect "Trencher-wear" natural "wool" base layers? Have you tried stuffing your underwear with Husky-Fur?
...maybe we shouldn't go there... 8)
p.s. he's a fine dog; must be a lot of fun training with him (when he can be bothered).
thanks for that :-) how reliable is the snow, I see the altitude is reasonable?
not bad really, quite a long season outside of the downhill skiing. For that matter Château d'Oex might do some skijoring as well now I think about it.
fantastic, french lessons as well, and boy do I need them. Michel Thomas is great but I need more input. thank you
I think I have spoken to Les Arc and whilst they have sled dogs they only let their local teams out onto the piste/backwoods. No doubt there are several very good health and safty reasons for this, and that is fine, I've no intention of being a bad embassador for the UK by flouting local regulations.
BTW there are several other resorts I have contacted who have similar rules, but I will get in touch with all new suggestions and thank you all for your help

you might try the Tourist Office at Les Mosses, they're very big on these sort of activities and I've seen people doing it there. I think in part that's because the downhill skiing there is a bit poor but the area is fantastic so snow shoeing, cross country, ski touring are all good options.

They have traineaux in Les Arcs, with a little pound full of dogs in their kennels. Traineu is French for sled or sleigh, traineaux is the plural.
