Pop in to the Harp. I should be found there!

I stayed in the maistre last Christmas. Really enjoyed and absolutely loved Grandvalira. Will return to both for sure. Top tip for Soldeu is to rent a locker at the Gondola station. Holds fours sets of skis and boots and saves the horrible walk back to the hotel in boots. Bizarrely I believe the hotels charge for ski storage so you have to pay a bit anyway.

Food was a buffet in Maistre but good choice. The Christmas gala meal was way better than I expected. I assume New Years will be too.

You have made a great choice with both and if you like spas go to the hermitage one evening and pay for a few hours entry - heaven. Damn I wish I was going back this year. Austria for me this Christmas which I love but truly smitten by Grandvalira and Andorra

When are you going over to Soldeu this year Bruce?

Couple of weeks! Will we see you both at the end of the bar this year?

Will be hoping to book something in Andorra in the next 2 weeks. Never been before. Which is the best resort for struggling intermediates, with desperate lack of confidence, and of advancing years? Arinsal seems to tick many boxes. What are the hotels and bars like - we are so used to the fabulous hospitality of Austria.

We will be there at Christmas once again,Bruce and at the end of the bar too,I shouldn't wonder!!!! Looking forward to seeing yourself and all the other seasonaires!

Huw, I would also recommend Soldeu, I can recommend an instructor who has done wonders for my confidence over the last few years. We arrive on the 21st December, can't wait.
