Obertauern is close(ish) by and may have better snow. Kitzteinhorn is just over an hour away and has got snow. Flachau has pretty decent snow making though so it might be ok. Hope it works out ok for you.

I would just say don't panic, the freezing level has drooped and the probability of a good dump of snow before you arrive is forecast. With the NOW lower temps the snow cannons will quickly make skiing on piste ok. SMILE

OK Cachal, by now, you might have guessed that we have all been biding our time, waiting for the big snow dump, then we would have given heaps of smarty pant replies. While the snow has started to arrive in the lower alps, it is unlikely to arrive big style, in time to meet your arrival date. Snow cannons will be switched on, but noone can predict where/when.

Using the snow report that you have lifted, also consult
https://www.j2ski.com/ski_resorts/Airports/Salzburg.htmlseveral others
Use this process:
Start at the top, select Fresh/perfect/powder.
Check the milage from Salzburg.

A couple these areas are not well known so there may be limited J2 knowledge. Stubai is not to far, and you would stay in Neustift. Kaprun is also not too far from Salzburg. I have skied both of these areas, along with several others, all good open area glacier skiing.

So, in your timescale, one of the main joys of Austria, skiing at tree level, may not be available. It depends how long you are staying.

At the moment the resorts south of the main alpine ridge have more snow.
I would look at Madonna di Campiglio http://www.campigliodolomiti.it/homepage and Sulden am Ortler http://www.seilbahnensulden.it/Englisch/ Most places have special offers at this time of year http://www.campigliodolomiti.it/lang/EN/eventi/cerca/std_id_categoria=8|limit=10|ref=top.html http://www.ortlergebiet.it/en/current-offers/winter.html They are about 4 – 4.5 hrs drive from Salzburg airport.
