Can be rather exposed with poor visibility - taker your thermals! Ski off the back to La Rossiere for lunch. Your pass will also cover a day in Courmeyer or Pila.

Icy,
Agree with you, Italy presents some great skiing with lots of modern facilities in the big resorts. Try it, you'll love it. January and February are fine times to go. Let's face it you can get shite weather at anytime if you're going for just 4 days. Dolomites are fantastic, but you may need to try smaller hotels and guest houses for short stay, but at that time of year they are generally accommodating. Try Ortisei in Val Gardena or Cortina d'Ampezzo....you won't ski either of those out in 4 days. Haven't been to Madonna yet, but it's on my list.
All the best, Peter R

If your not to worried about transfer times Livigno is great with some great fun skiing and good transport system to enable access to both sides of the resort. You might even try a bit of X Country.

Can't remember the distance in KM but was only a short bus trip. Worth checking if the PSD spa still does a discount for the evening session after skiing.
If you're in La thuile for Feb 14th avoid going on that day, it will be mobbed and the opposite of relaxing!
