Avoriaz in resort transfers

Im far from tight but i would expect a TO to actually deliver you to your accom.
Interesting, Val Thorens & Sauze Doulx are both car free.
VT - they relax that rule for swap over day and coaches etc go all over the town picking people up etc. When the weather is bad they clear the roads especially for buses
SD - they drop you off at the tourist office and you walk uphill to the hotel while your luggage is put in a van and dropped off at the hotel. Never like doing that as you have to leave your luggage waiting for some local Italian chap pick up your bag and be trusted at dropping it at the correct hotel  Sounds like yours is the same!

Having stayed in Avoriaz last winter, I can't picture an uphill walk to accommodation from the drop off point, though you may go downhill to the resort centre and then walk up to accommodation. However, I'd say, don't be so tight and get yourself a horse drawn sleigh to the apartment - it's part of the experience!

Hi Guys in Avoriaz you drag your luggage by sledge, or hire cat or horse but if getting off the bus the "taxi" of choice may be busy so could mean a wait so sometimes you'd be quicker walking.
Just one thing guys. Never been with Inghams but I know Crystal think nothing of dumping you at the gate. Been here and La Plagne with them and here we walked but La Plagne we were dumped last year off the bus to find reception closed for 4 hours. -20 with two kids and a wife. The lovely french lady in the ski pass office who gave us shelter said that this was an every Saturday occurence.

Guys and Gals,
We are all paid up for a week with Inghams in Avoriaz.
As this is a car free resort i am wondering about getting to our apartments from the car park drop off. I know there are snow cats and horse drawn sleighs available at a charge but do the tour operators provide this service free of charge on transfer day?
Can anyone with experience of Avoriaz and Inghams tell me how they got on? I would find it a bit annoying if we get dumped at the resort gate and have to shell out for onwards transport. Our apartments look to be an uphill walk so don't really fancy that with 4 cases plus skis.
Thanks
