When will you hang up your skis?

Excellent stuff - my sister got a lot out of it, helped her no end she says, with a philosophy of skiing gently - or controlled and elegent as she says.
:D
I have to continue skiing as long as she is, just cannot consider giving up!
Sister is older than me....
Has a piece of metal in her foot
A piece of titanium in her back
and a ceramic hip!!
Anyway I am a baby!!
Working on a five year plan to ski better when 60 than at 55!!
Your only as old as the snow under your boots.

Well, I skied three separate weeks this season, 2 in France and one in Italy. I am now 74 and don't anticipate giving up just yet. Also, remember that in a number of French resorts over 72s' get free pases. I have also skied on occasion with some 80 year olds. Not too sure if I will be skiing at 100 though!

Soft Skiing, Ally, by Lito Tejada Flores. A book well worth a read for those no longer in the first (or even second!) flush of youth :)!

Thanks Billip for the recommendation :)
Do you know any good old folks homes too? The way I feel right now, I'm nearly ready for one. They take people aged over 50 don't they?

Daved: my flush of youth is, unfortunately, erm, flushed away :(
Ally, on the other hand, is a mere youngster :)
However, I remain undaunted !
