A mat/carpet piece to kneel on while you put the chains on. Saves wet trousers for the rest of your journey.
Flush your current screenwash out completely before you fill with 100% concentrate. Otherwise your jets/pipes can still freeze because they have dilute fluid in them.
And if possible, put on winter tyres. Chains are no use in mixed tarmac/snow and this is where most UK drivers on summer tyres will come a cropper. But I appreciate the practical problems.

Most snow chains that I have brought recently come with knee mat and Gloves
Go skiing again in March - then you wont feel like you've wasted your money -) That's my plan!
Do you want to put me in your suitcase ..... please
Sorry - I'd love to - but I travel light  (I'm not really going again in March - that was just wishful thinking)!

Not a legal requirement but be sure to take plenty of food and water just in case you get stuck somewhere. Nothing worse than being stranded and you become desperately hungry which is made worse when you are cold! I normally have pre-packaged snacks as they don't go off quickly and don't need to be refrigerated.
