Some gloves to wear when putting on the chains. Also something to kneel on and an old jacket to wear.
A snow shovel for the car!
Day-glo jackets for all passengers, keep them in the car with you.
A First Aid Kit is a good idea.

Earplugs for when the children and other passengers start whining "are we nearly there yet?"

GB signs, unless using Euro number plates.
Should add..
Emergency food in case you get stuck.
Drinking water.
De-icer or good scraper.
Winter strength screen wash (you can get through LOADS on the motorways and may need to top up).

Snow chains are cheapest at hypermarkets in France if thats where your heading think paid around £20, have worked wonders the one and only time I needed them last December in the UK
They were from Carrefour in Cluses same at Champion in Moutiers friend bought his there
