Private pre booked transfer from Moutiers to Meribel will only cost us 135 euros return for the 4 of us and hopefully only about 20 minutes door to door.

Am i right in saying that it is about 12 miles ?
Would you pay £50+ for a 12 mile taxi ride in the UK?
That is my point.
Skied: Arinsal, La Plagne, Alpe D'huez, Flaine, Les Arcs, Morzine, Les Gets, Avoriaz, Sauze, Courchevel, Val Thorens

One of the many reasons I chose to live in Chamonix,<30Euro transfer any time of year. Amazing how much money you have for fun once you remove the expense of a car which only depreciates and with fuel prices now being crazy is likely worst investment you can make! Even better you get a free bus and train pass. 10yrs and counting, might be something to do with public transport outside UK actually working.

The private Minibus transfer co's in Chamonix seem to work well, way better than the rail service between Switzerland and Chamonix. Last December I walked almost all the way from Le Chatelard to Vallorcine with luggage...in the rain. The rail station staff in Chamonix told me they had no idea when the service would run again. Dismal.
