Waidring

Hurrah, glad you had a good time, we heard about the problems at Gatwick whilst we were waiting to come home from Innsbruck! Seems we both picked a good week to ski in Austria!

i am glad and a liitle relieved that you enjoyed the area. i was in Kirchdorf the previous week and had a really good time, unfortunatley i did not get the time to visit Fieberbrunn but will do next year.

We have skied in Waidring/Steinplatte twice before - its fantastic. If you are staying at the Waidringer Hof Hotel the gondola is just a few minutes walk up the road and the Hotel has its own heated boot area there which makes life so much more comfortable when walking there and back. Hotel is fab, food excellent and plenty of choice, saunas and spa area are a must after ski-ing each day and very tastefully laid out. Ski-ing suits us for a week lots of nice cruisy runs and always well groomed; but if you love moguls or tough blacks you may be dissapointed unless you take the bus to some of the other areas which is easy to do. We travelled with Crystal previously but they don't use Waidring anymore. Who did you book with?? Hope you enjoy the place as much as we did. :P
